The corpus is growing

New languages. New sectors. New countries.

AI-assisted writing is reshaping public communication in every language, every sector, every country. The Public Language Index tracks that change. The corpus currently spans seven languages and ten sectors, but our goal is to cover all 24 official EU languages. Every document collected strengthens a baseline that grows more valuable over time, creating a permanent record of how institutions sounded before generative AI entered the creative process.

If you’re a researcher, an institution or a language professional interested in contributing to the Observatory, get in touch. You can nominate an organisation for inclusion, propose a dataset, or explore a research collaboration.
